Our Reading Stations
In Miss Ford's class we always do reading first. In reading we talk about difforent charaicters. The charaicters we talk about are flat, round, static, and dynamic. For those different kinds of characters we read a book for an example. An example of a dynamic character is Ruby in Ruby the Copy Cat. For a static character we read about Miss Srarh Jane Heart in First Day Jitters. Reading is my favorite part of the day.

My Buddy
I want to tell you about our class buddys!
Our class buddys are in k5 and they teacher's are Mrs.Foster, Mr.Todd, and Mrs. Capps. My buddy's are Carlton and Lala. We have done one craft together, and it was a star coved in blue and red paper. We created this to celebrate Constitution Day. We went to their classroom. Mrs.Foster told us who our buddies were, and they were all sitting on the carpit. I was happy for what I got that day. We ate football brownies and Hi-C. The food was good. Before we knew it we had to leave and all our buddys hugged!

What's the Weather?
Miss Ford's 4th Graders visit with Meteorologist Kendra Kent!!!
On Friday, October 1st our class visited with Kendra Kent. She is the chief meteorologist at Fox News. We talked about hurricanes. We talked about how to be safe during storms. She showed us a PowerPoint, and we got to ask her some questions. We asked her things like; What was the scariest weather she ever reported on, and how hard it is to be a meteorologist. It was a fun Friday afternoon talking and learning about the weather. We even got our picture on the 6:30 news show!

Hey girls and guys! I wanted to let you know that Mrs. Showalter has upgraded our Animoto, so that we can now create clips over thirty seconds. We need to send her an ENOURMOUS thank you! Here is the Writer's Notebook clip that I created. You can tell your parents all about our notebooks, that we have neglected this week. You can tell them about how we make seed ideas and the writing process.

We were learning about the steps in a scientific investigation. We put a gummy worm in 100 ml of water, and another in an empty cup.The next day we saw that the gummy worm in water got bigger, and the one without water stayed the same. Our manipulating variable was adding water, our responding variable was gummy worm growth. It was a very fun project that we will never forget.
